This is a horror movie that is based on an old Punjabi folk legend where a girl goes missing and is haunted. The film has been remade with better cinematography and more realistic 3D graphics. This movie will keep you gripped and guessing until the very end.The fear of losing someone we love, the terror of having to face an unknown enemy, and the suffocating experience of being out of control – all this encapsulates Farz. A girl goes missing for many days, but does she come back?Farz begins with an attractive young couple, Anmol (Rimmy) and Sidra (Avneet), wedding at a hilly location. They are on their honeymoon at a Himalayan resort. One day, Sidra is mysteriously gone. The couple has an infant daughter, Ahana. Sidra's parents are heartbroken about her disappearance and have no idea where she could have disappeared to. Meanwhile, the local police are investigating the case but have no clue as to what happened. Rimmy is devastated because he knows that his wife has been abducted by unknown forces. He spends sleepless nights and begins to believe that Sidra has been kidnapped by a supernatural force. Rimmy then decides to consult a psychic to help him locate his missing wife. The psychic claims that she knows who took Sidra and the whereabouts and shows him a picture. Rimmy is shocked and learns that it was their housekeeper, Ratna (Shivani Raghuvanshi), who has committed this atrocity.Rimmy goes back to their house but cannot find anything conclusive as he cannot find any evidence of any foul play in the house nor does anyone know anything about what went down at their home that fateful night. Rimmy then decides to go back to the resort but this time he goes at night. He does not find anything conclusive at the resort. However, he meets with an accident while returning to his hotel room. He meets with another girl who looks exactly like his wife and claims to be her. Rimmy's world is turned upside down as he tries to figure out what exactly happened that fateful evening and who the real Sidra is.

The Film has been shot at locations of UK, Punjab, Dubai, Mumbai and UK Punjab border. It is also shot in 3D. It is a remake of the 2010 Punjabi horror film "Farz" by Raja Goswami.It was released on 24 March 2015, on DVD through Sony Pictures Home Entertainment with English subtitles. Although the movie received mixed reviews from critics, its opening weekend collection was decent.This movie has after three days of release managed to earn 4 crores in domestic box office not including muhurat collections on its opening day which is more than expectations of makers of this film.
